Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
  • 5 -10+ years of Supply Chain experience – Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Project Management, Materials, Logistics, New Product Development
  • Highly engaged, energetic & self-motivated
  • Clear ethical standards, strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others & facilitate cross-functional teams as well as being a team player
  • Excellent investigatory, problem-finding & problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Successful interfacing with other cultures preferred
  • Sufficient hands on experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet stated deadlines

Basic Objective
To provide leadership & Supply Chain expertise in working with external suppliers & internal Product Management, Engineering & Operations to enhance the product portfolio through development & introduction of new, sourced products that meet or beat the global specifications as outlined by Global Sales & Marketing

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The possible levels of authority are identified as follows:

(A)   Makes decision and implements appropriate action.

(B)   Makes decision and informs supervisor of action taken.

(C)   Makes decision and obtains concurrence of supervisor before taking action.

(D)   Provides information for supervisor’s decision and action.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A 1. Developing, maintaining & enhancing relationships with critical product suppliers
B 2. Understanding Product Management, Marketing & Sales requirements for externally-sourced products
B 3. Requesting Quotes from external product suppliers

 

B 4. Negotiating pricing, timeline, & specifications

 

A 5. Interfacing with Logistics providers to do scenario planning, when estimating total landed costs
B 6. Balancing multiple projects in various stages of development or completion
        A 7. Handling all aspects of project management for Supply Chain: requirements gathering, status reporting, issue resolution, delivery to plan

 

B 8. Assessing, validating & auditing critical product suppliers
B 9. Ensuring critical Supply Chain phase gate checklist items are complete & accurate
A 10. Communicating & coordinating with the various Ashcroft locations & functional areas worldwide
D 11. Assisting the Supply Chain Director in developing Manufacturing Agreements with external suppliers
